STATE AND NATIONAL GUIDANCE/EXECUTIVE ORDERS ( From CCC Chancellor’s Office Update 11 )
President Trump signed the $2 trillion aid package to bring relief to Americans hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The package includes direct payments to Americans and billion in business loans and help for hospitals. This article includes a calculator to see how much you could receive. Read Gov. The president today also signed a presidential memorandum requiring General Motors to manufacture ventilators to help handle the surge of coronavirus patients.

The governor today also issued an executive order banning the enforcement of eviction orders for renters affected by COVID-19 through May 31, 2020.
The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced late Thursday it is closing all its field offices to the public starting today.
The state has launched a website to provide useful COVID-19 information to all residents. It highlights critical steps people can take to stay healthy and includes public service announcements from state health leaders. The website can be found here.
SYSTEM GUIDANCE
On March 16, 2020 the Board of Governors granted the chancellor additional authority to help colleges continue to provide educational services to students including the ability to temporarily suspend regulations adopted by the Board of Governors and local rules and regulations. Today Chancellor Eloy Ortiz Oakley issued an executive order and guidance memo providing temporary suspension of various regulations related to grading policies, course repetition and term expansions focused onsupporting students enrolled during the COVID-19 emergency. The documents are posted on the Chancellor’s Office COVID-19 Resources page, in the Chancellor’s Office Communications to Colleges section. We’ve also posted a Q&A on this guidance for students, on the Students section of the resource page. We encourage all administrators, faculty, staff and students to routinely check this resource page, as it is updated daily with memos, recommendations and common questions/answers related to COVID-19.
